The 17th EPH Conference in Lisbon
The 17th EPH Conference in Lisbon, Portugal with the title Sailing the waves of European public health: exploring a sea of innovation featured a record attendance by staff and affiliates of GÖG.
Our 21 attendees presented posters, lectured, held pitches, chaired sessions, spoke on panels, facilitated workshops, and engaged in cross-country capacity building. Altogether GÖG staff had an active role in about 30 activities. This time, we were also involved in a pre-conference Navigating the digital tide: preparing public health for the AI Revolution where we talked on the future role of AI at National Public Health Institutes.
A special highlight was the workshop on Health literacy in Europe under the umbrella of M-POHL which was widely acknowledged.
For the first time GÖG hosted an exchange with Austrian fellows from academia, public bodies and NGOs working in public health also attending the EPH conference that was attended by 40 persons.
We are looking forward to attending the 18th EPH Conference scheduled for November 2025 in Helsinki.
