Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (PPRI)
Zur Förderung des Erfahrungsaustausches zwischen den mit Arzneimittelpreisbildung und -erstattung befassten Behörden leitet die GÖG das Behördennetzwerk Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information (PPRI). Dieses Netzwerk wurde im Rahmen eines gleichnamigen EUForschungsprojekts (2005–2007) ins Leben gerufen und wird seither auf Wunsch der darin vertretenen Behörden als selbstorganisierte Initiative weitergeführt.
Mit Ende 2025 waren etwa 80 Behörden aus 50 Ländern, darunter alle 27 EU-Mitgliedstaaten, im PPRI-Netzwerk vertreten. Im April 2025 fand in Lissabon ein PPRI-Netzwerktreffen statt, und ein Online-Meeting der PPRI-Untergruppe für Medizinprodukte wurde im März 2025 organisiert.
Im Jahr 2025 feierte das PPRI-Netzwerk sein 20-jähriges Bestehen, was mit einem PPRI-Netzwerkmeeting und einem Symposium in Wien im September 2025 gewürdigt wurde. Dieses Jubiläum wurde auch zum Anlass genommen, eine interne Evaluierung des PPRI-Netzwerks durchzuführen.
Weitere Arbeiten der PPRI-Geschäftsstelle im Jahr 2025 waren das regelmäßige Monitoring von Maßnahmen der Arzneimittelpolitik in den Ländern des PPRI-Netzwerks sowie die Publikation eines Kurzberichts zur Arzneimittelpolitik in Deutschland und einer aktualisierten Auflage des PPRI-Glossars.

To facilitate and promote information exchange between public authorities responsible for pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement, GÖG manages the "Pharmaceutical Pricing and Reimbursement Information" (PPRI) network. The PPRI network started as an EU funded research project (2005-2007) and has been continued as a self-organized initiative at the request of the authorities involved.
As of the end of 2022, approximately 90 authorities from 50 countries, including all 27 EU member states, were represented in the PPRI network.
Due to the pandemic, all network meetings had to take place online in 2022. Topics of the network meetings included current reforms in the area of pricing and reimbursement of medicines in the individual countries, innovative payment models, pricing and reimbursement of high-priced gene therapies and impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on perception of pharmaceutical industry (in the public, within authorities etc.).
The exchange of information between PPRI network members, whether through online meetings or network queries on pressing issues, proved to be very important, also and especially in times of a pandemic.
The PPRI sub group on medical devices was very active in 2022 in exchanging information and experiences on pricing and reimbursement of medical devices.
Other focus areas of the activities of the PPRI Secretariat are the preparation of country information based on surveys and the regular monitoring of pharmaceutical policy measures in the countries of the PPRI network as well as the publication of reports on pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursement.
