Austria MyHealth@EU new Services: AMHEN
Aufbauend auf den Arbeiten des Projekts AT‐eHDSI (Connecting Austria to the European eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure) wird in AMHEN die österreichische eHealth‐Infrastruktur für neue grenzüberschreitende eHealth‐Dienste im Rahmen von MyHealth@EU erweitert. MyHealth@EU ist die von den Mitgliedstaaten und der Europäischen Kommission aufgebaute Infrastruktur (auch bekannt als eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure/eHDSI), die den sicheren grenzüberschreitenden Austausch von elektronischen Gesundheitsdaten ermöglicht und als ein Hauptbestandteil des Europäischen Gesundheitsdatenraums der primären Nutzung von Gesundheitsdaten dienen soll. Über den Ausbau dieser Infrastruktur hinaus werden im Rahmen des Projekts neue grenzüberschreitende Services wie die Patientenkurzakte, Entlassungsbriefe und Laborergebnisse in die nationale eHealth‐Infrastruktur ELGA implementiert.
Für die Umsetzung hat die ELGA GmbH einen EU‐Grant mit Beginn Februar 2024 erhalten, in dem die GÖG die Leitung des Arbeitspakets 2, Dissemination, übernommen hat und damit z. B. Synergien zur Kontaktstelle Patientenmobilität nutzt. Ergänzend zu dem „Dissemination and Communication Plan“ (D2.1), der die Basis für die Disseminationsstrategie bildet und einen Kommunikationsplan mit Aktivitäten enthält, der darauf abzielt, ein Bewusstsein in der Bevölkerung für die neuen Dienste zu schaffen, wurde 2025 das Dissemination and Communication Manual (D2.2) entwickelt. Dieses enthält interne Leitlinien, um die interne Abstimmung sowie den Informationsfluss zwischen den Partnern zu verbessern. Der Fokus im Arbeitspaket 2 im Jahr 2025 lag darauf, die Inhalte und Informationsmaterialien (z. B. Informationsschreiben an die Ärztekammer, Inhalte für das Gesundheitsportal) für den Start der EU‑Patientenkurzakte vorzubereiten sowie den Workshop mit Multiplikatorinnen und Multiplikatoren zu organisieren.

Building on the work of the AT-eHDSI project (Connecting Austria to the European eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure), AMHEN will expand Austria's eHealth infrastructure for new cross-border eHealth services within the framework of MyHealth@EU. MyHealth@EU is the infrastruc-ture established by the Member States and the European Commission (also known as eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure/eHDSI), which enables the secure cross-border exchange of electronic health data and is intended to serve as a primary component of the European Health Data Space for the primary use of health data. In addition to expanding this infrastructure, new cross-border services such as the patient summary, discharge letters, and laboratory results will be implemented in the national eHealth infrastructure ELGA as part of the project.
For the implementation, ELGA GmbH received an EU grant starting in February 2024, in which GÖG took over the leadership of Work Package 2, Dissemination, and thus utilizes synergies with the Patient Mobility Contact Point, for example. In addition to the ‘Dissemination and Communication Plan’ (D2.1), which forms the basis for the dissemination strategy and contains a communication plan with activities aimed at raising public awareness of the new services, the Dissemination and Communication Manual (D2.2) was developed in 2025. It contains internal guidelines to improve internal coordination and the flow of information between partners. In 2025 the focus in Work Package 2 was laid on preparing content and information materials (e.g. information letter to the Austrian Medical Chamber ÖÄK and content for the health portal) for the launch of the Patient Summary, as well as organising the multiplier workshop with key communicators.
